Dr. Franklin D. Wicks, Jr., Ph.D., also known as Frank, serves as Executive Vice President and President of Applied at Sigma-Aldrich Company Limited. Dr. Wicks serves as President of Applied & Research at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation and has been its Executive Vice President since January 01, 2013. He served as the President of Research and Executive Vice President of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation since February 2011. He served as President of Applied Markets Business Unit at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation since January 01, 2013. Dr. Wicks served as Managing Director of US & Canada region at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation from January 2010 to February 2011. He served as President of Research Essentials & Research Specialties at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation from January 2009 to February 2011. He served as the President at SAFC Biosciences, Inc. from December 2002 to January 2009 and served as the President of SAFC, Inc. (alternate name, Sigma-Aldrich Fine Chemicals, Inc.) since November 1999 to December 2002. Dr. Wicks served as the President of Fine Chemicals unit of Sigma-Aldrich Corporation from November 1999 to December 2002. He served as Vice President of Operations at Sigma-Aldrich Corporation from August 1998 to November 1999. He has been for Sigma-Aldrich since 1982, beginning as a research chemist and subsequently working in marketing, as President of Sigma Chemical. He has been an Independent Director of Cass Information Systems, Inc., since April 17, 2006. Dr. Wicks served for four years on the staff of the Navigators at the Air Force Academy and at the University of Colorado at Boulder. He holds a PhD.
