Fionnuala was Director of Bioinformatics at 14M Genomics where she built a framework for the development of bioinformatics software solutions to facilitate the use of next-generation sequencing technology as a clinical decision tool. Her focus was on the development of medical device software and bioinformatics pipelines and the construction of a quality & regulatory framework under which medical device software could be developed and used in a clinical setting. Prior to this, she held various positions at Almac Diagnostics, where she was responsible for developing innovative solutions to support the commercial delivery of multiplex diagnostic, predictive and prognostic clinical tests. Fionnuala holds an MSc in Bioinformatics from Dublin City University and a BSc in Human Genetics from Trinity College Dublin. Additionally, she is an inventor of a number of key patents related to genomic oncology tests.
