Finn Bjarke Christensen is the inventor and CEO of the company. He holds a MD,a PhD and a DMSc within orthopedics. From his research and clinical work, he saw the potential in developing a new implant concept that fuse one or more joints while maintaining some initial dynamics that optimizes a natural spinal balance. Before founding FBC Device, he was involved in spinal research for more than 20 years. Through these research activities he has established a significant international network to researchers, doctors and the implant industry. In this regard he is hosting the Euro Spine meeting 2015 in Copenhagen. For his research Finn has received the prestigious International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine, ISSLS Volvo Award for his lumbar spine research in 1997 and again in 2007 for his low back pain research.
