Erich Windmuller, vice president and chief information officer, oversees the global strategy and management of DXC Technology’s (NYSE: DXC) IT assets that support employees and help drive the company’s strategic priorities. Previously serving as CSC’s CIO, he has 25-plus years of corporate IT experience, including executive roles at IBM, Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) and Sterling Software. His roles at IBM included general manager of strategic outsourcing in Australia and New Zealand and senior positions in IBM’s corporate office of the CIO, where he was responsible for end-to-end system operational readiness for IBM’s internal global sales, services, software products and customer fulfillment. This included applications, infrastructure and network environments, along with management of all internal IT integration activities to support corporate mergers and acquisitions efforts. He also served as vice president of client management for IBM’s Global Technology Services division in Australia and New Zealand; managed IBM’s strategic outsourcing in the U.S. Southeast Region for the distribution sector; and led strategic outsourcing sales for IBM’s “growth market†region covering Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to IBM, Mr. Windmuller managed a business organization in SAIC’s Space and Defense Group, focusing on the U.S. Department of Defense and Federal civilian agencies. Before SAIC, he held various executive-level account management, delivery and business development roles for Sterling Software in the United States. Mr. Windmuller served in the U.S. Air Force, earning the rank of captain, and received a master’s degree in public administration from Golden Gate University in San Francisco and a BA from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech).
