Emmanuel obtained his B.Sc in Environmental Science & Geology from the university of Buea, Cameroun in 1999. He subsequently went to the University of Cambridge, England for his M.Phil in Environment & Development in 2002 and his D.Phil in Geography from the University of Oxford, England in 2009. He is a fellow of the Pan-African Institute of Development, West Africa (PAID-WA) Cameroun. A visiting research fellow at the University of Manchester, visiting scholar at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, research associate at Commonwealth Policy Studies Unit (CPSU) London and visiting fellow institute at the Institute of African Development (IAD), Cornell University. He has lectured and consulted extensively and has several publication under his belt.
