Biography

Dr. Bou Yazbeck is currently Food Science Expert / Nutrition and Food Safety Specialist at the Ministry of Economy and Trade, Lebanon since 2009. He is also University instructor of several B.S. and M.S. levels courses related to Food Safety and Quality, Public Health Nutrition, Food of World Cultures, Social and Behavior determinants of Health, Nutrition during emergencies at several universities since 2004. In addition to that, he worked as Food Management consultant and Trainer. He earned a Ph.D. in Agro-Environmental Biotechnology from University of Perugia-Italy and a Master in Food and Nutrition in developing countries from University of Montpellier-France. His research interests center on improving the understanding, design, and performance of Food and Nutrition systems, with an emphasis on Food Quality and public health topics including Child Obesity prevalence and risk factors, Internet addiction and nutritional health outcome and Nutrition school programs. Dr. Bou Yazbeck is an active member in different scientific committees and has given numerous invited talks and tutorials at national and international scientific conferences.
