Biography

 Dr. Paul Haycock serves as Managing Director of Novo Nordisk, Inc. (also known as Novo Nordisk Pharmaceuticals Inc.). He has over twenty years experience of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in positions including the Managing Directorships of Duphar Laboratories and Novo-Laboratories UK and also held senior medical and management positions in Europe and the USA with NovoIndustri A/S and Squibb-Novo Inc. He held Senior Medical and Management at Squibb-Novo Inc. Dr. Haycock served as Chief Executive of Cantab Pharmaceuticals. His subsequent career in the international pharmaceutical industry included managing directorships at Novo Industri A/S and Solvay Duphar. He worked at Lexicon Pharmaceuticals, Inc. and Xenova Research Limited. Dr. Haycock served as Chairman of Bionostics Ltd. (formerly Bionostics Plc and Ferraris Group Plc) since June 29, 2006. He served as Chairman of the BioIndustry Association and serves as its Director. Dr. Haycock has been an Independent Non-executive Director of Bionostics Ltd. since March 2004. He served as Director of Apax Partners Ltd. (now Apax Partners LLP), with specific responsibility for healthcare, biotech and pharma investments. Dr. Haycock served as Managing Director of Abbott Healthcare Products. He served as Director of Procognia Limited. Dr. Haycock served as Director of Emergent Product Development UK Ltd. He served as Director of RiboTargets Holdings plc, Rodaris Pharmaceuticals Limited and Sense Proteomic Limited. He is a fellow of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and a director of a number of international biotechnology companies. After five years clinical practice in Canada, Dr. Haycock moved into pharmaceutical and clinical research. Dr. Haycock graduated in medicine from London University and completed post-graduate studies at the University of British Columbia. He obtained a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine and an M.B.A. from the Cranfield School of Management.
