Biography

Dr. Mario P.S. Chin is Assistant Professor of microbiology andimmunology, and Center of Substance Abuse Research at Temple University School of Medicine. He was visiting fellow at the National Cancer Institute and Aaron Diamond Scholar at the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center. He received the Pathway to Independence Award and Fellows Award for Research Excellence from the National Institutes of Health. Dr. Mario P.S. Research Intrest

He is interested in understanding pathogenicity, latency and reactivation of viruses in their host to produce vaccine. He is also interested in how bacterial cells respond to the environment by altering which protein they synthesize and in how bacteria detect and respond to stressful conditions.
