Biography

She earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was an Andrew W Mellon Fellow at the Université de Montréal in African Demography. She earned a PhD in Sociology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and was an Andrew W Mellon Fellow at the Université de Montréal in African Demography.

Research Intrest

Dr. Norwood’s research focuses on sexual health disparities. Namely, she is interested in the interactions between structural/spatial and interpersonal/individual factors that facilitate HIV and STIs infections among Africana Diasporic women.
