Biography

 Mr. Douglas Wayne Ramsey, also known as Doug, has been Group President of Poultry at Tyson Foods, Inc. since August 2017. Mr. Ramsey served as President of Poultry Operations at Tyson Foods, Inc. since April 2017 until August 2017 and oversees its poultry business units. Mr. Ramsey served as a Senior Vice President in the Poultry business unit at Tyson Foods, Inc., managing a portion of the business which included servicing key foodservice national accounts, retail fully cooked Tyson branded products and the school lunch program. He joined Tyson Foods in 1992 and has gained valuable experience in various roles of escalating responsibility throughout his career. He has served in both domestic and international roles in multiple business units. He earned a Bachelor of Science in agricultural business from Southern Arkansas University in Magnolia, Arkansas.   John H. Tyson was born on September 5, 1953 in Springdale, Arkansas. His grandfather was John W. Tyson, the founder of Tyson Foods.His father, Don Tyson, served as Chief Executive Officer of the family business. His mother is named Jean Tyson.He graduated from Springdale High School in 1971, where he was on the student council and played basketball, golf, gymnastics and track.He attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he was initiated into the Phi Delta Theta fraternity in 1972. He then transferred to the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. Finally, he transferred to Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas, where he received a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.). He attended the University of Arkansas School of Law for a year, but dropped out, deciding that becoming a lawyer was not for him.
