Diana Reedie has spent the last 15 years in health care practice management in both private and institutional settings. Diana moved into her first leadership role with Kings Health Centre where she managed the training and on-boarding of new clinic staff. Shortly after her career at Kings, she led the building of administrative infrastructure for several multi-physician environments, always prioritizing the patient experience while maximizing practice efficiencies. She also served as a consultant for physician billing and practice management. In 2007, Diana joined LMC Diabetes & Endocrinology as a Regional Clinic Manager overseeing four sites. Over the past seven years, Diana has held roles with increasing accountability including Project Management and now as a Senior Manager of the Canada-wide Practice Program. Diana’s particular expertise has been in cost-effective management of practice technologies, including configuration and implementation of an Electronic Medical Record platform providing a medical home for >100,000 patients. The resulting Diabetes Registry was successfully envisioned to facilitate the accessibility of outcome data for further research and generation of “real world” evidence. Diana’s strengths in providing patient-centered efficient care are reflected in the growing number of community partnerships aimed at facilitating Specialist-led diabetes care within LMC’s primary care communities.
