Dr. David I. Geffen, OD, FAAO serves as a Member of Clinical Advisory Board at TearLab Corporation. Dr. Geffen was in private practice in La Jolla from 1982 to 1994 before joining Gordon Weiss Schanzlin Vision Institute. He is nationally known for his clinical research on contact lens products, participating in numerous studies for Bausch & Lomb, Johnson & Johnson, Biocompatibles, Allergan, AMO, Ciba and other contact lens manufacturers. He is a prominent speaker on refractive and cataract surgery, anterior segment disorders and contact lenses, including specialty lens designs. Dr. Geffen has published many articles on contact lenses and refractive surgery and is a past contributing editor to Contact Lens Spectrum and currently serves as a contributing editor to Optometry Times.
