Dr. David D. Halbert, M.D. Founded Caris, Ltd. in 2005 and serves as its General Partner. Dr. Halbert serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Caris Life Sciences, Inc., and a General Partner to Caris group of companies. Dr. Halbert founded Caris Life Sciences, in 1987. Dr. Halbert has more than 35 years of management experience in the energy, financial and health care industries. He served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Miraca Life Sciences, Inc. (formerly Caris Diagnostics, Inc.). Prior to this, he served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of CaremarkPCS, LLC (also known as AdvancePCS) since 1986 and served as its President since March 27, 2003. Dr. Halbert served as Chief Executive Officer of Foundation Health Pharmaceutical Services Inc. In 2008, Mr. Halbert acquired Molecular Profiling Institute (MPI), a molecular life sciences company. Dr. Halbert served as Chairman of CDX Holdings. Dr. Halbert founded AdvancePCS in 1986 and successfully guided it from a small, privately owned company into a Fortune 500 corporation that became the largest provider of pharmacy benefit management services in the nation. Under his direction, AdvancePCS recorded 39 consecutive quarters of record earnings with a compound annual earnings growth rate of 84% for the five years prior to the merger. Prior to this, he founded Halbert & Associates Inc. Mr. Halbert is a passionate advocate of personalized medicine and leads Caris Life Sciences® with a philosophy that more precise and individualized information will lead to dramatic improvements in the quality of care patients receive. Mr. Halbert has been tremendously influenced by his mother’s passing over a decade ago due to cancer, as evidenced by his investment, commitment and unwavering dedication to making precision medicine a reality for cancer patients. Dr. Halbert works as the Chairman at Pathology Partners Inc. since May 26, 2005. He served as the Chairman of the Nutrition and Scientific Advisory Boards at Herbalife International of America, Inc. He served as Independent Director of Herbalife Ltd. from March 2006 to May 23, 2007.
