Danny Di Perna is vice president of global sourcing for GE Power. He is responsible for strategic sourcing, procurement, supplier quality and demand management & planning for the Gas Power Systems, Steam Power Systems and Power Services segments of the business. Prior to joining GE, Danny was Pratt & Whitney’s Senior Vice President of Operations, responsible for new product development, sourcing, manufacturing, supply chain, supplier quality and production engine assembly. Di Perna led the operation’s organization for the development, certification and production readiness of the PurePower® family of engines and for the production of the F135 military engine. Danny has more than 27 years of experience within the aerospace industry, including 24 years with United Technologies Corporation. He began his career at Pratt & Whitney Canada, where he held positions of increasing responsibility within engineering, marketing, manufacturing, supply chain and operations. In 2003, he became VP of Operations with broad supply chain responsibility. In 2006, Danny joined Air Canada Technical Services as the SVP, Aircraft and Engine Maintenance. In 2009, he returned to United Technologies Corporation, where he was VP and General Manager of the Auxiliary Power Division of Hamilton Sundstrand. In 2012, he became SVP Supply Chain for Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, Connecticut, and was subsequently promoted to SVP of Operations in 2013. Danny earned a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Concordia University and a Masters of Business Administration from McGill University, both located in Montreal, Canada. He and his wife, Molly, have three children.
