Danny Branch begins his 12th year as Chief Information Officer for the Falcons and boasts more than 30 years of experience in systems development, deployment, and support. He is responsible for all information systems related activities for the Falcons and all other enterprises in the Blank Family of Businesses. Branch joined the Falcons in 2004 from The Home Depot, where he most recently was Vice President of Information Services. Starting at The Home Depot in 1990 as a senior systems engineer, he was promoted rapidly through the engineering and ultimately, the information services management ranks. While at The Home Depot, Branch partnered with NCR to be the first home improvement retailer to implement and deploy self check-out. He also developed and deployed Home Depot’s current gift card program, which replaced their previous paper based gift certificate program. Prior to The Home Depot, Branch worked in programming, engineering and project management roles for CONTEL, Management Science America, and Texas Instruments. A Georgia product, Danny earned his associate degree in Mathematics from Abraham Baldwin Junior College (Tifton, Ga.). He received his Bachelors of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Georgia and completed an advanced leadership development program at the Babson School of Executive Education (Babson Park, Mass.). Branch is active in the community and is a strong supporter of Atlanta Habitat for Humanity. Danny and his wife, Claire, live in Senoia, Georgia with their daughter, Chloe (21) and son, Alex (18).
