Mr. Román served as the President of Canadevi from 1983 to 1985, as President of the Cámara Nacional de la Industria de la Construcción de Baja California (the National Chamber of The Construction Industry of Baja California) from 1990 to 1992, as President of the Consejo Coordinador Empresarial de Mexicali (the Entrepreneurs Coordinating Counsel of Mexicali) from 1992 to 1994, as President of Patronato Centenario de Mexicali, A.C. from 2002 to 2003. He serves as a Member of the Consulting Board of Canadevi, TELMEX, S.A. de C.V. and Nacional Financiera, S.N.C., Member of the regional Board of Directors of Banco de México en Baja California, Member of the Board of Directors of Pronatura Noroeste Mar de Cortés, A.C., and the Instituto Educativo del Noroeste, A.C.
