In addition to co-founding Nordic Bioscience, Dr. Claus Christiansen, MD, is chairman of the board of directors. Claus finished medical school at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1971, and received his DMSc degree in 1976 and his degree in Clinical Pathology in 1978. From 1978 to 1992, he held the position as Chairman and Head of the Department of Clinical Pathology and Clinical Chemistry at Glostrup Hospital, University of Copenhagen. In 1991 he and Dr Bente Juel Riis founded what was later known as Nordic Bioscience and in 1992 they founded Center for Clinical and Basic Research (CCBR) where he served as CEO until 2013
