Cindy Eller joined the Roswell Park administrative team as the Director of Development in 1989. At that time, she led the effort to establish a public trust, the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, as the designation beneficiary to manage and distribute all charitable dollars intending to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Now serving as Vice President for Development and as Executive Director for the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation, she has overseen the creation of a Development Program that has realized over $300 million to date, $100 million of this in the last five years, and has an active annual donor base of 100,000 households. She has been recognized by the Roswell Park Institute Boards and administration with the “Roswell Park Achiever Award”, its highest employee recognition award. Ms. Eller is an active Board member of the National Association of Cancer Center Development Officers (NACCDO), a national organization of over 70 cancer centers and serves as the group’s treasurer. Cindy also served as national Chair of NACCDO, from 2004- 2006. In 2016, she received the NACCDO “Lisa Considine Service Award” in recognition of “tireless support to her national cancer center colleagues in the unified mission of finding a cure for all cancers.” Ms. Eller has served as past President and as an officer on the Executive Committee of the WNY Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals. She has been a frequent presenter and taught a Major Gift component for the Canisius College Fundraising curriculum for over 10 years. A native of Western New York, Ms. Eller resides in Williamsville, NY with her husband James and daughter Tori.
