Mr. Christoph Mäder has been Head of Legal & Taxes and Company Secretary at Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC and Syngenta AG since 2000. Mr. Mäder served as Head of Legal & Public Affairs of Novartis Crop Protection from 1999 to 2000 and Senior Corporate Counsel of Novartis International AG from 1992 to 1998. He serves as the Chairman of scienceindustries, the association of Swiss chemical, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. He serves as Vice Chairman of economiesuisse, the main umbrella organization representing Swiss economy and a Member of the Executive Board of the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC) to Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). He has been a Director of Lonza Group Ltd since April 22, 2016. Mr. Mäder holds a Master’s degree in Law from Basel University and admitted to the Bar in Switzerland.
