Biography

 Governor Whitman has been President of The Whitman Strategy Group (environmental and public policy consulting) since December 2004. She served as Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency from January 2001 through June 2003 and as Governor of the State of New Jersey from 1994 through 2001.  Governor Whitman served on the boards of Texas Instruments, Inc. (public) from 2003 to 2017 and S.C. Johnson & Son, Inc. (non-public) from 2003 to 2016. She is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and Chair of the Board of the American Security Project. In addition, she is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Eisenhower Fellowship Foundation and a member of the Senior Advisory Committee of Harvard University’s Institute of Politics. Governor Whitman is a board member at the Center for Responsible Shale Development, and she serves on the Advisory Boards of Terrestrial Energy and the Corporate Eco Forum. She holds an Executive Masters Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors. Governor Whitman is 70 and has been a UTC director since 2003.
