Biography

Mr. Sembritzky was named Vice President, International New Ventures in December 2016. He joined Anadarko in 2001, initially working as a geologist focused on enhanced oil recovery. In 2004, he assumed a role in Anadarko’s international business development group in London, working to develop new ventures in the Middle East and Russia. During his time in London, Mr. Sembritzky also served as the project leader for two giant oil field developments in the Middle East and exploration efforts in Qatar and Jordan. He returned to Houston in 2009 to focus on exploration and development activities in Brazil and Ghana. In 2010, he gained experience managing reserves and planning for the company’s U.S. Southern region and later serving as general manager of the Marcellus and Utica shale assets in north-central Pennsylvania and Ohio, respectively. Prior to being promoted to his current role, Mr. Sembritzky managed the geological and geophysical team for Mozambique and Business Development in East Africa.

Research Intrest

Mr. Sembritzky holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Environmental Science and Geology, and a Master’s of Science degree in Geology from Baylor University.
