Dr. Charles Aldridge, Jr., also known as Chuck, OD, MBA founded and still practices at Aldridge Eye Institute in Burnsville, NC in 1980. Dr. Aldridge serves as a Member of Clinical Advisory Board at TearLab Corporation. He also created The Dry Eye Center of the Carolinas within this practice in 2007. One of Dr. Aldridge's beliefs is sharing what you've learned. He has earned numerous academic awards and achievements during his educational tenure. Since entering practice he has earned the distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, Fellow of American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine titles and served as clinical investigator for several ophthalmic corporations. Dr. Aldridge is on consulting staff of Spruce Pine Community Hospital and a member of the American Optometric Association, North Carolina Optometric Association and Mountain District Optometric Association. He wrote numerous articles that have been published in optometric trade journals. He graduated from Appalachian State University in 1976. He then attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis where in 1980 he obtained his Doctorate of Optometry (O.D.) degree. Later, in 1993, he received a Master of Business Administration from Western Carolina University.
