Carl Stamp joined Smiths Medical in April 2015. Prior to Smiths, he held numerous executive level positions at Medtronic during a twelve-year tenure, including leadership roles in Marketing, Operations, R&D, and General Management. Prior to Medtronic, Carl spent over fifteen years with Wright Medical Technology in R&D, Sales Management, Marketing, and Business Development roles. As the VP of Marketing, he led the worldwide marketing efforts for all product segments, including large joint reconstruction, upper and lower extremities, and biologics, culminating in the company’s IPO in 2001. Carl’s deep medical device industry experience and diverse functional knowledge provides exceptional foundation for leading the company’s product portfolio, as well as building alignment across all functional areas. Carl hold a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Iowa.
