Bruce Walton joined Aurora Diagnostics as Vice President of Operations in 2009 bringing with him over 28 years of experience in sales, marketing, and operations management of pathology and diagnostic laboratory services. Mr. Walton currently serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, of Aurora Diagnostics where he is responsible for overseeing Aurora’s 23+ operational business units, 125+ practicing pathologists and Aurora’s sales and marketing services. During the past 28 years, Mr. Walton has served with utmost distinction in an impressive series of operations, acquisitions, contracting and sales and marketing leadership positions within the pathology/laboratory services industry. These have included 1) service with AmeriPath, Inc. (1999-2008)–an anatomic pathology services industry giant with more than 400 pathologists and Ph.D.-level scientists at some 200 hospitals and independent laboratories, nationwide– with whom he progressed to the position of President of Anatomic Pathology, Eastern Region; 2) service as Vice President of Business Development with Interactive Information, Inc. (1997-98); and 3) service with C. R. Bard, Inc. (1984-98)–a publically-owned leader in the medical devices industry–with whom he progressed to the position of Director of Sales. Educationally, Mr. Walton earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration (dual major of marketing and economics) at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
