Dr. Brian J. G. Pereira is a chairman for nephroplus and is an Adjunct Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine, the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences, and the Tufts Clinical and Translational Science Institute (CTSI). He also served as president of the National Kidney Foundation (USA).He has authored more than 200 scientific publications, and his research on Hepatitis C and G in dialysis and transplantation have led to design of policies to reduce transmission in dialysis units worldwide. He has won multiple awards including mostly recently the David Humes Award, National Kidney Foundation (2008) and Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year (2008, 2009). He received his MBBS from St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, India; MD (Internal Medicine) and DM (Nephrology) from the Post Graduate Institute (PGI) Chandigarh, India; and MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University, Evanston, IL.
