Brett Jewkes was named senior vice president and chief communications officer of AMB Group in November, 2015. Jewkes is responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communications strategies across the Blank Family of Businesses, which includes the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons; Atlanta United of MLS; Atlanta Falcons Stadium Company – the developer of Mercedes-Benz Stadium; PGA TOUR Superstore; Mountain Sky Guest Ranch; and the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation. He works closely with Chairman Arthur M. Blank and Chief Executive Officer Steve Cannon, as well as the senior management in the respective businesses, to drive brand positioning, develop business-building reputation initiatives and manage each business’s communications and teams. Prior to joining AMB Group, Jewkes was on the management team at NASCAR, serving as senior vice president and chief communications officer for five seasons. At NASCAR Jewkes provided strategic counsel to the executive leadership team, led company-wide communications planning and oversaw the day-to-day activities of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) department. In addition, Jewkes oversaw NASCAR's relationship with the operators of the NASCAR Hall of Fame and served as a NASCAR representative on the industry's Manufacturer and Driver councils. Jewkes was recruited to NASCAR in 2011 to revamp the sanctioning body’s communications operation and implement strategic communications planning across NASCAR’s global business. Four years after his arrival, PRWeek named NASCAR IMC its 2014 In-House Team of the Year based on voting by a panel of industry experts. Before joining NASCAR, Jewkes was a managing partner at New York-based Taylor Global, Inc., a leading marketing communications agency serving some of the world's largest brands. He opened Taylor's offices in Charlotte and Chicago and led the agency's client engagements for NASCAR beginning in late 2000, as well as other sports and non-sports brands during his 12 years at the agency, including Allstate, Kimberly-Clark, Spalding, Merck, Inc., and many others. Before joining Taylor, Jewkes was a senior associate at communications consultancy, Coltrin & Associates, in New York and prior to that served for four years as the director of athletic media relations at Southern Utah University. Jewkes holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Brigham Young University. While at BYU, Jewkes worked for four years in the school's sports information office where he assisted on football and men's basketball and served as the primary sports information director for men's golf, swimming and cross country. Jewkes and his wife Melissa have three children; Stockton, Mason, and Mallory and reside in metro Atlanta.
