Professor Bozena Kaminska graduated with MSc in Embryology from Warsaw University and PhD in Biochemistry from Nencki Institute. Between 1991 and 1997 she was an Assistant Professor at the Department of Neurophysiology at Nencki Institute. Additionally in 1990 and 1992 Prof. Kaminska was a Visiting Scientist at the University of Catania, Italy. In years 1994-1996 she did her Postdoc at the Department of Psychology at McGill University, Montreal Quebec, Canada. In 1997 Prof. Kaminska completed her habilitation and became the Head of the Laboratory of Transcription Regulation at the Nencki Institute. Prof. Kamiska spent another two years, between 2001 and 2002 as a Visiting Scientist at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA, USA. Since 2003, Prof. Kaminska holds the position of Professor and Head of the Laboratory of Transcription Regulation at Nencki Institute, as well as, since 2009, the position of Director of the Postgraduate School of Molecular Medicine at Warsaw Medical University. Throughout her scientific career, Prof. Kaminska has been a Principal Investigator in more than 24 national and international research grant projects, and an Invited Lecturer at 25 international and national meetings and congresses. Prof. Kaminska received the Prime Minister Award for the best habilitation, and been elected a member of 3 Committees of Polish Academy of Sciences: Committee of Neurobiology, Cell Biology, and Biochemistry and Biophysics, as well as she’s the Coordinator of Polish-French consortium GROUPEMENT DE RECHERCHE EUROPEEN (GDRE) DE «L’ONCOLOGIE FONDAMENTALE A LA BIOTHERAPIE DU CANCER ».
