Bill Miller was named Chief Executive Officer of Mediware in July 2017. Bill previously served as CEO of OptumInsight at Optum, a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group — the largest health services company in the world. Under his direction, OptumInsight saw unprecedented growth, seeing its revenues expand from $1.5 billion to over $5 billion and driving tremendous growth in the payer, provider, life sciences, and analytics market places. Prior to joining OptumInsight, Bill was Vice President of Technologies at Cerner Corporation, where he oversaw the company’s technology businesses as well as its managed services, outsourcing, and advanced technology consulting practices. Bill is also a successful entrepreneur, serving as CEO of three technology companies he founded or co-founded in the 1990s. He earned a Master of Science in Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of Kansas.
