Bernard Deryckere, also CEO of Alpro, was honoured with this Honory Knighthood for his contribution to the promotion of Belgian food and his efforts to stimulate the growth of the Belgian food industry via exports. As one of the founding fathers of the concept “Food.be – Small country. Great food”, he proved to be a real ambassador for the quality and excellence of Belgian food thereby acknowledging that Belgian beers – famous throughout the world for their diversity, taste and excellent quality – are real pioneers for the Belgian food industry as a whole.
His research interests reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.
