Bente Juel Riis co-founded Nordic Bioscience A/S and is currently serving as medical advisor and member of the board of directors. Bente finished medical school at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark in 1981 and received her DMSc degree in 1989. The same year she founded Osteometer AS where she served as CEO until 1996. In 1991 she and Dr. Claus Christiansen founded what was later known as Nordic Bioscience and in 1992 they founded Center for Clinical and Basic Research (CCBR) where she served as Clinic Manager and Principal Investigator from 1996 to 2006. From 2006 she built the clinical department at Nordic Bioscience where she served as the CEO until 2014.
