Bart Heijermans is the Chief Executive Officer of DeepOcean Group Holding B.V. and has served in that position since February 2012. He is an accomplished and versatile global energy executive with more than 25 years of experience in the development, execution and operations of offshore oil & gas projects and with DeepOcean has been involved in a several offshore renewables projects. Prior to joining DeepOcean as a member of the board in July of 2011, Bart was Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Helix Energy Solutions Group Inc. (NYSE: HLX). He has held several senior positions with recognized energy companies such as Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (NYSE: EPD), El Paso Corporation and Royal Dutch Shell. He holds a Masters degree of Civil Engineering from the University of Delft in the Netherlands and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program. Bart is a non-executive director of Roll Holding B.V.
