Babalwa was appointed to the Board on 1 April 2016 and is the CEO of Sinayo Securities (Pty) Limited, a women owned and managed securities firm. Prior to this she was the Group Chief Internal Auditor of Nedbank Limited, the past Financial Director of Safika Holdings, an audit partner at Nkonki Chartered Accountants and, thereafter, a partner at Deloitte (Financial Institutions Services Team). She is, among others, a non-executive director and member of the audit committees of Barloworld Limited, Implats Limited and Group Five Limited and brings considerable financial and commercial experience to the Board. Babalwa is the founding chairman of the African Women Chartered Accountants. Babalwa is a member of the Audit & Risk Committee.
