B McNamee joined Amgen as senior vice president, Human Resources, in June 2001. In October 2013, McNamee was promoted to executive vice president, Full Potential Initiatives. Prior to joining Amgen, he was vice president of Human Resources at Dell Computer Corp. He has held a variety of executive positions at General Electric over a 12-year period, including senior vice president for the National Broadcasting Corporation, a division of General Electric. McNamee received his bachelor's degree in journalism from St. Bonaventure University and received his master's degree in industrial and labor relations from Cornell University in 1987. He was elected as a Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources in 2009 and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Human Resources Policy Association. McNamee formerly served on the Board of Trustees for St. Bonaventure University and is a member of the Advisory Board of the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California. He also serves on the Board of Directors of LA's Promise, a nonprofit organization working to improve schools and empower neighborhoods in some of the most disenfranchised communities in Los Angeles.
