Prior to founding LitCapital ŠarÅ«nas was a partner at a Swedish private equity fund Askembla. He was in charge of Askembla's investments in Lithuania. ŠarÅ«nas began his professional career at an international accounting company Arthur Andersen. Afterwards he worked as a Business Controller and was responsible for the CEE region at a Scandinavian industrial group Consolis (at that time owned by one of the largest private equity funds in Scandinavia – Industri Kapital AB). Additionally, he has served as an independent member / Chairman of the board at several large and well known Lithuanian companies. ŠarÅ«nas is one of the founders of the Lithuanian Venture Capital Associationand currently serves as a board member. ŠarÅ«nas has a degree in business administration from Vytautas Magnus University, MBA at Kaunas University of Technology and has accomplished AMP at INSEAD business school in France.
