Ariel Arman V. Lapus has been Vice President, Managing Director for Latin America of Energy Development Corporation since March 13, 2012. He is based in Santiago, Chile, and supervises the EDC organizations in both Chile and Peru. He sits in the boards of directors of all the EDC companies in Chile and Peru. Mr. Lapus is also a Vice President in First Gen Corporation where he headed the Power Marketing and Trading Group from November 2009 until his secondment to EDC in March 2012. Prior to joining First Gen Corporation, he was Executive Vice President of Global Business Power Corporation and Vice President of Mirant Philippines Corporation. Mr. Lapus graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management from the Ateneo de Manila University (1990) and has a Master in Business Management (MBM) degree from the Asian Institute of Management (1997).
