Amir Annabi specializes in providing patients with the optimal non-operative care for their musculoskeletal injuries, particularly pain and injury of the spine. His focus is on treatments to address the underlying biomechanics, improve function and lifestyle, and control pain. Dr. Annabi received his medical degree from New York University and completed his internship in general surgery at New York Presbyterian Columbia/Cornell, including rotations in neurosurgery during which he assisted in minimally invasive spine surgery. He then completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at New York Presbyterian Columbia/Cornell, followed by a post-graduate fellowship in spine and sports medicine at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Dr. Annabi’s training focused on non-surgical treatment of joint injuries and back pain, including the use of precision fluoroscopic and ultrasound guided injections. While at the Hospital for Special Surgery, his research focus involved investigating the development and use of regenerative treatments for degenerative conditions of the tendons, joints, and spine such as the use of platelet-enriched plasma (PRP) and growth factors.
