Dr. Alfred Lui, also known as Fred, MD, FCAP, serves as Medical Director of Peninsula Nephrology, Inc. Dr. Lui co-founded Pathology Inc., in 1979. He serves as Chairman and Chief Medical Officer of Pathology, Inc. He served as President of the California Society of Pathologists. He serves as a Director of California Society of Pathologists. He served as Medical Director of AltheaDx, Inc. He served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of AltheaDx, Inc. since April 29, 2009. In 1979, he joined Dr. Richard Ellis as a co-founder of Affiliated Pathologists Medical Group. He serves as a board member of Diagnostic Laboratory Services, Inc., Honolulu, Hawaii. Dr. Lui is a member of Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and is active in the College of American Pathologists, where he is a member of the Council on Membership and Professional Development and on the Publications Committee. He began his career as a pathologist at the Liver Unit of the University of Southern California Medical Center and John Wesley Hospital. He served at the staff of the Liver Unit at the University of Southern California. He is a board certified Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist. Dr. Lui is board-certified in internal medicine, nephrology, and critical care medicine. Dr. Lui attended college and medical school at Stanford University School of Medicine and performed his nephrology residency at UCSF. Dr. Lui graduated summa cum laude from Andrews University in Michigan. He received his medical degree from Loma Linda University Medical School and completed his residency in Pathology at UCLA-Harbor General Hospital in 1976.
