Alex completed his graduate and postgraduate education at the University of Reading receiving his PhD in 1993 under the supervision of Professor John Mann. With over 20 years experience in the fine chemical industry at Dextra, Isochem and CMS, Alex has extensive synthetic experience developing innovative scalable routes to key intermediates and API's predominately in the field of carbohydrates. Alex was appointed Chief Scientific Officer of Dextra and NZP in 2011.
