Biography

Dr. Zhaojie Song is an Associate Professor at the Research Institute of Enhanced Oil Recovery of China University of Petroleum-Beijing. He is also the electee of Outstanding Youth Talents program of CUPB and a M.Sc. supervisor for petroleum engineering. In 2014, Dr. Song obtained his PhD degree in Oil & Gas Development Engineering from China University of Geosciences-Beijing. He was a visiting PhD student at Missouri University of Science and Technology from 2012 to 2014. His research interest includes multiphase flow in sandstone and fractured vuggy carbonate porous media, CO2 flooding and carbon sequestration, conformance control, unconventional oil & gas development and reservoir numerical simulation. He secures the sponsorship from National Natural Science Foundation of China, PetroChina Innovation Foundation, and Science Foundation of China University of Petroleum-Beijing, and also he possesses rich professional experience in national projects and oil company projects. He has published more than 30 papers in peer-reviewed journals including Fuel, Computers & Fluids, Petroleum Exploration and Development, Acta Petrolei Sinica, etc.; and he owns one granted patent. Based on his research accomplishments, he was awarded the First Prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation, Frontrunner 5000-Top Articles in Outstanding S&T Journals of China, and the Excellent Doctoral Dissertation of China University of Geosciences-Beijing. He is also a member of Society of Petroleum Engineers and Chinese Petroleum Society.
