Biography

Leo is a researcher in the aquaculture group at Cawthron. He is very enthusiastic about aquaculture research and development in New Zealand and is always willing to engage with the industry and collaborate with national and international researchers. His experience will further enhance and complement the current capabilities of the aquaculture group to enable the aquaculture development of current and new species. His work focuses on understanding the biology and ecology of commercially valuable species to assist in the development of new and more sustainable production systems and practices that can be applied at all levels of production (i.e., hatchery, nursery, grow-out, and postharvest).
