Yu Chongwen, born in Shanghai in 1924, Ningbo, Zhejiang Province. Chinese Academy of Sciences, China University of Geosciences professor. Geochemical chemist, deposit geochemist, geology educator. Graduated from the Department of Geology, Peking University in 1950. Since 1950, he has taught at the Department of Geology, Peking University, Beijing Institute of Geology (Wuhan Institute of Geology), China University of Geosciences. Senior Advisor of Science and Technology, Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources, Advisor to Geological Survey Bureau of Ministry of Land and Resources, State Key Laboratory of Geological Process and Mineral Resources, Honorary Chairman of Geological Society of China Geological Society, Standing Committee Member of Mineral Rock Geochemistry Society of China, Consultant , Member of the Committee of Elements Geochemistry and Regional Geochemistry.
