Undergraduate studies at the University of Athens (B.A. in English Studies 1986), postgraduate studies at the University of Cambridge, U.K., (M. Phil. in Theoretical Linguistics, 1988) and at the University College London, U.K., (Ph.D. in Syntax, 1993). She taught at the University of London, U.K., (King's College London, 1989-1993 and University College London, 1990-1993). In the academic year 1993-1994 she held a research post at the University of Crete. Since 1994, she has been teaching at the University of Cyprus. Her research interests include Syntactic Theory, Comparative Syntax as well as the interfaces between Syntax and the other branches of Theoretical Linguistics, namely Phonology, Morphology and Semantics
