He is currently a member of the Petroleum Geology Committee of China Petroleum Institute, editorial board of the Department of Geology and Geology of Oil and Gas Reservoir Development, Journal of Paleogeography, Petroleum Exploration and Development, and Geological Frontier. In 1983 graduated from the East China Petroleum Institute of Petroleum Geology, 1986 Master graduated from the East China Petroleum Institute Beijing Graduate Department of sedimentology, 1998 , graduated from the University of Petroleum coalfield, oil geology and exploration.
