Dr Wilfred Golman is a senior lecturer in law, at the University of South Pacific School of Law, Faculty of Arts, Law and Education, Statham Campus, Suva, Fiji. Dr Golman graduated with a Second Class Honors LLB Degree in 1994, at the same time was awarded a Butterworth Prize for a best student award in international law. He attended Legal Training Institute, in PNG and got admitted to practice law in PNG. In 1997 he won the Prestigious Fulbright Scholarship and went to study, in Columbia University, New York, USA, and later moved to the University of Arizona, College of Law to complete his Master of Law in International Trade and Business Law, in Tucson, Arizona, U.S.A., in 1998. In 2009, Dr Golman was admitted in the Fiji Bar to practice law in Fiji. He is eligible to practice law in Fiji and PNG jurisdictions. He taught law at law school schools and lived in various places in Papua New Guinea, United Kingdom, United States of America and Fiji. In May, 2015 Dr Golman graduated a Superior (A) Class Doctoral Degree in law, in International Trade and Business Law, at the University of Arizona, College of Law which is one of the leading public universities, in research in the recent times, in the U.S.A. International Trade and Investment Law, particular focus on WTO Dispute Settlement Process Law and WTO/GATT Rules on trade matters. -Human Rights, legal protection for vulnerable and intimidated HIV/AIDS individuals: a critical analysis on PNG law on HIV/AIDS from the perspective of human rights. -Regional Trade Law, Judicial regime of regional integration in the Melanesian Jurisdiction: an examination of the role of the MSG in the Evolution of a regional legal trade order in the MSG countries. -Legal issues on the termination of international commercial contracts, the causes, effects, and consequences. - Research into ADR focusing on establishing, patterns of settlement in civil cases in relation to the reasons why cases settle, when cases settle in the process after filing, and the mechanisms that prompt settlement, role ADR currently plays in settlement processes, and frequency of ADR use during and/or prior to court proceedings in the pacific region.
