Biography

Tom is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Exercise and Sports Science at the Bond Institute of Health and Sport (BIHS). Within this role, Tom works across multiple projects in both applied sports science with Triathlon Australia (Australian Institute of Sport), and mechanistic exercise physiology with emphasises on muscle physiology and sports nutrition at BIHS. Tom is an Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA) Accredited Exercise Physiologist, with a research background in exercise physiology and sports nutrition. His PhD was titled �The masters triathlete: Protein intake, muscle protein synthesis response and recovery from muscle-damaging exercise�. Tom retains an interest in optimising exercise performance in masters athletes, while currently focusing on young elite endurance athletes.
