Theresa Manful Gwira is currently working as a Lecturer in Department of Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology, University of Ghana.

Research Intrest

I am primarily interested in research in molecular and cellular biology of parasites, and host-pathogen interactions. My specific research is on understanding gene expression and regulation in Kinetoplastids: Trypanosomes and Leishmania by using different methods and technologies in molecular genetics and biochemistry, including transgenic cloning, protein expression and purification, single gene- and genome-based expression assays, transcriptome analysis (including high-throughput RNA sequencing) and microscopy
