Biography

Theodoros Sourmelis is a PhD student in the Department of Multimedia and Graphic Arts. He is soon completing his MA in New Technologies for Communication and Learning from Cyprus University of Technology. He also holds a BA in Education Sciences from the University of Cyprus. He is a Teacher (K-12) at the Ministry of Education and Culture. He worked as an educator at the field of ICT in the Program against early school leaving, school failure, and delinquency in Education Priority Zones.

Research Intrest

His research interests include learning, collaboration and communication in Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (MMORPGs) in formal and informal educational settings, the integration of Commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) Digital Games in the curriculum and Digital Game-Based Learning (DGBL) in education.
