Biography

David is a marine ecologist with specialist expertise in the following areas:  aquaculture – effects on marine ecology recovery and resilience of benthic marine communities coastal rocky shore ecology – links with nearshore oceanography ecology and ecotoxicology of Pleurobranchaea maculata (sea slug) – New Zealand's most toxic marine animal. David is a project manager for large-scale multidisciplinary projects including: coastal plan-change applications for finfish farming assessments of ecological affects for the aquaculture and oil industries risks of tetrodotoxin to kaimoana, with Ngā Pae o te Māramatanga. David has also co-supervised two Masters students.
