Dr. Koner had finished his Ph.D. in 1990 in Jadavpur University/ IACS. His field of specialization are Inorganic Chemistry, Molecular Magnetism, Heterogeneous Catalysis, and Mesoporous Materials. His research focuses are studies on magnetic properties of metal assembled complexes with special reference to molecular magnetism ,designing of heterogeneous catalysts by using the inorganic porous matrices and studies on their catalytic efficacy in industrially important organic reactions and designing a gold nanoparicle based mesoporous material which efficiently transfers the energy from dye molecules to Au particles.
