Stephanie Pantelides is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Center of Applied Neuroscience and a Special Scientist at the Department of Psychology where she teaches courses of Experimental Psychology and Research Methodology, both at the University of Cyprus. She has previously obtained a BA in Psychology, a M.A in Cognitive, Educational, and Developmental Psychology, and a Ph.D degree in Psychology with focus in Cognitive/Experimental Psychology, from the University of Cyprus. Her research interests lie within the general field of spatial cognition and include topics in spatial memory, orientation, and navigation. Particularly, she is interested in how people process, represent, and update spatial information encoded through different sensory modalities (e.g., vision, haptics) and language. Also, she investigates different factors that influence how people integrate spatial information derived through different modalities. Currently, she conducts research at the Center for Applied neuroscience, focusing on the investigation of how healthy adults process, integrate and use spatial information derived from different modalities to reason in space compared to clinical populations, such as patients with Temporal Lobe Epilepsy (TLE) and people people with varied levels (low, medium, high) of social anxiety. She has extensive experience on the experimental design and programming.
